Well according to one of our swimmer's (Michael Moody) dream, we're going to take the Yellow Jackets down and we sure did!

JV girls competed for personal best times: 18 in all. To point out some remarkable improvements: Zydney Celis swam in 4 events today and not only did a good job on her first 100 (1.25), but bettered it by 9 seconds in the 4x100 relay (1.16). Paola Monterrosa bettered her back stroke by 8 sec. and 100 Free by 15 sec. Frankie Villagomez dropped 5 sec in her 50 Fly and 7 more on her 50 Back. Nice job JV!!

Varsity girls swept the Yellow Jackets, 113-62 bringing their season to 4-2. One girl I want to point out today would be Julia Melendrez who dropped 12 sec. on the 200 IM. The girs' team had 4 PBT and also had 2 new best relay times for this year.

Boys' Varsity has had several new additions to the team this year and what a difference they are making. The boys were back n forth until the final relay and won 84-79 bringing their season to 3-3. They also improved 2 of their 3 relay times for the year today. I want to give a shout out to a few of the new boys this year: Guillermo Ake has come a long way since day one and even completed the 100 Fly and 100 Back today in additon to the 100 Free in the 4x100 Relay. Guillermo is bettering his times each time he gets into the water, way to go! Jimmy Palacios dropped 4 sec. off his 50 Free and completed the 100 Breast today, nice job! Michael Moody bettered his 100 Free by 3 sec. Kyle Sims is a real asset to the team. He had 2 PBT today, one of which was in the 4x100 relay where he dropped 10 sec. Following in Kyle's wake was Scott Young, who is proving to be a real varsity swimmer every time I see him swim. He dropped 4 seconds off his 100 Free during the 4x100  and it just continued on down the line, which resulted in a first place to win the meet.

Way to take the pool Spartans! San G. will be home this Thursday, 4/4 vs. Pacific @ 3:15.
