Spartans defeat Indian Springs 16-7 in Season Opener

The Spartans boys’ water polo team welcomed back Coach Chad Rahn to the helm with a dominating 16-7 season opener victory vs Indian Springs at San G. Leading the attack was junior Giovanni Munoz with 5 goals and great field vision as he filled the lanes on the counter in maximizing his opportunities. Also pitching in with 3 goals a piece were junior Ryan Westbrook and newcomer, sophomore Ricardo Sanchez. Senior Jacob Westbrook led the team in steals with 5 as he took control of the middle of the pool. Spartans next travel to Jurupa Valley HS on August 30 to compete in the Corona Tournament.
