Spartans Smash Blackhawks in Season Opener 49-7

Spartans opened the season on the road at Citrus Valley and posted a 49-7 victory for our fifth straight win over Citrus Valley to keep our unbeaten streak alive vs the Blackhawks! Our offense finally exploded after a sluggish start. We were down 6-7 but only after CVHS returned a fumble deep in our own end for the TD. Other than that, our Spartans defense punished the Blackhawks only allowing one first down all game not counting penalties. Kudos to our Spartans on both sides of the ball!
