The Spartans had a great game on Tuesday night. With a big 4th quarter comeback the Spartans fell a few points short of a big upset over Arroyo Valley. The team played an extremely competitive game with great movement on offense and once again very solid defense.  

The leading scorer of the game was Gaby Sandate with 13 points. She also led the team with 9 rebounds, 2 assists and a huge block. Hallie Dishaw was also a big spark on offense hitting some huge shots when her team needed a burst in momentum. She finished the game with 7 points, including the teams only 3, a steal and a block.  Nelly Stout's first game back from injury proved she is a tough competitor finishing the game with 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and an assist. Another really great performance was had by the team's only freshmen Oceanana Russell. Oceanana had a big night running the offense and driving the lane with the aggressiveness and skill of a senior. She finished the night with 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Senior Denise Lewis also crashed the boards drawing a lot of fouls and scoring a couple of points to go along with her 6 rebounds. The Spartans look forward to playing a home match up against San Bernardino on Thursday.
