The Lady Spartans racked up another win tonight in a tough battle against a good team from Rim of the World. The spartans had a great night with positive stat contributions from the entire roster. The game started off well for San G as they took a 16 to 9 lead in the first quarter lead by senior Gabby Sandate with 8 points. Gabby impressed the crowd with sinking a three and then getting three points the hard way showing her versatility on offense. The team built on their lead to be up by 12 at half lead by a big 2nd quarter by JJ Harvey with 5 points and a few huge boards. Scoring got slowed down after half as the Lady Scots started to battle back. The Spartans held back the surge by Rim helped by great defense by Raeon Cooper and Nelly Stout. The 4th quarter was a tough defensive battle as both teams started to press and play really hard defense. Lead by a few huge hustle plays and key points by Denise Lewis the Spartans were able to secure a big win and look to take the momentum into tomorrow's tough match up with Ramona.
