Spartans!

Wow… what a game?  Spartans won at Rubidoux in the CIF Quarterfinal match on penalty kicks (3-1) after two scoreless 10 minute OTs… regulation ended 2-2.

Here is a quick note from Head Coach Villalobos…

“Congratulations to the boys soccer team for their CIF win yesterday.  The game came down to Penalty Kicks after a 2-2 tie at the end of overtime.  Lalo and Leo had a goal each and Ruben Rodriguez had both assists.  In the pk’s, Carbajal, Rooney and Lalo made their kicks and Danny Madariaga came up big two big saves, one in over time and one during the pk’s which gave the Spartans the victory.  The boys soccer team now advanced to the semifinal game next Tuesday here at San G.  Thanks to all who went to the game, and come support Tuesday as they try to advance to the championship game for the firs time since 1997.  Great job Boys!”
